What could be better than a relaxing week in the French sunshine with good food, good wine and good company? A relaxing week in France with all of those things plus the chance to learn some new knitting skills!

For keen knitters, the weeklong knitting workshops organised by Christine and Graham Dove provide a lovely break from the stresses of everyday life – and the opportunity to learn from experts.

The Doves have been running their popular knitting holidays twice a year for the past seven years. The 2012 programme, led by Fiona Morris, focuses on patchwork/modular techniques, Bavarian twisted stitches, textured stitches and edgings. 

The course takes place in Le Vieux Monastère, ‘The Old Monastery’, set in the heart of the French countryside. Guests are accommodated in one of their well appointed cottages, and enjoy local dishes and wines at meal time, as well as the opportunity to explore the area or relax by the heated pool.

THE PRIZE

If you are our winner, you will receive one place on the 8th-15th September workshop holiday, which includes accommodation, meals including wine, workshops and excursions and airport transfers. The winner will need to arrange travel to La Rochelle airport or train station. The value of the prize is £725.
