New Year’s Knitting Resolutions: Knit for charity, and put in some preparation on your new year knits

Refuge blanketResearch has shown that people who do things for charitable causes are happier and more confident, so being selfless is good for you! The fact it’s also a great excuse to enjoy some knitting time is just a bonus.

Set yourself a target number of items to knit for charity, or join a group like Loving Hands (visit www.lovinghands.org.uk or write to Loving Hands Charity Knitting Group, 18 Clentry Crescent, Kelty, Fife KY4 0LG) who set targets for members. We'll also be running a campaign to help domestic abuse charity Refuge again this year, so why not get involved?
