Vintage knitting fun in Frome

Miriam from Simply Knitting and Jen Storey from The Knitter headed over to Frome on Wednesday evening because Susan Crawford had brought her latest book, A Stitch in Time Volume 2, (done with Jane Waller) to Marmalade Yarns. There was wine, there were nibbles, there were lovely people to talk about knitting with and, most importantly of all, there were all 80 garments and accessories from the book to look at.

Art, fashion, wool…

Three woolly three-legged stools, all with strongly textured tops, one pleated, one woven and one made of puffsWool Week may be over (what did you get up to? Let us know by adding a comment below!) but there are still related events occurring to continue spreading awareness and woolly joy. We particularly love the concept behind Wool Modern, an exhibition bringing together art, wool and fashion with spectacular pieces by fashion houses, sculptors and textile artists using pure British wool.
