Serendipity is a stroke of luck: a fortunate discovery while looking for something else entirely. We discovered the Serendipity blog while looking for something else, and now we'd like to share that good fortune. Even better, whether you're looking for a fun knitting blog or a way to help the residents of Victoria, Australia who are suffering from horrific bushfires, you'll find both at Seredipity.
Jacqueline lives and blogs in Melbourne, Victoria and although life is ticking along in the world outside, while the fires rage and people need help she's turned her blog into a fundraising site, gathering donations from around the world. As an added incentive – although knitters never need a reason to be generous – she's also received loads of donations of gorgeous yarny prizes, which will be raffled off to people who let her know they've made a donation.
But what's the blog like the rest of the time? Well, full of knitting, of course! There's finished objects (gorgeous cardis – you'll find at least one you want to knit), stash and chat about yarn, techniques, and if you read back a few pages you'll find Jacqueline making her first foray into knitting a Fair Isle garment – it might not be an easy path, but you'll recognise the view. Both her regular programming and her posts during this crisis are well worth a read, so do have a look.
