Vegetable knitter wins top table at Salvos Restaurant!

Congratulations to knitter Rosanna Betton who has won a meal at a top Leeds restaurant with her knitted pod of peas!

Knitted veg Baa Ram Ewe winner

Rosanna created her veggies in response to yarn shop Baa Ram Ewe's competition asking knitters to create the vegetable of their choice in an effort to win the meal at Salvos restaurant.

Verity Britton of Baa Ram Ewe says that she handed the judging over to John and Gip Dammone (pictured with Rosanna above), the owners of Salvos, for their foodie expertise.

Other entries included knitted aubergines, chillies and cabbages complete with worms. We think a knitted slug or two might have gone down well too!
