Knit-ins and charity knits are among our favourite things, so we’re thrilled that The Little Knitting Company are combining the two yet again for their regular Summer Open Day.
In addition to giving you the perfect excuse to spend the day in friendly local pub The Horse and Jockey in Stanford in the Vale, Oxfordshire, you'll be able to pick up new knitting skills, while raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents) based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Plus you'll have the chance to enjoy the pub's menu of over 30 homemade ice cream flavours!
Taking place on Saturday 6 July between 11am and 4pm, the event will include mini knitting surgeries, and the opportunity to try spinning, braiding and weaving. Why not bring along a current work in progress you need some help with? You can also pre-order from the website and collect your purchase on the day.

"Our Open Days have always proved a great opportunity to catch up with old friends as well as make new ones who share the same passion for knitting in every shape and form," says Ruth Chester of The Little Knitting Company. "We invite everyone that comes along to make a small donation to our chosen causes."
A truly indulgent day for any crafter, with the added bonus of aiding a worthy cause!
