It's hats-on time for smoothie bottles again, and the imaginative folks over at innocent are asking for your help to be-hat their drinks bottles.

Over the past nine years they're raised more than £1million, so the campaign really is having an impact! Do your bit by using up a few oddments from your yarn stash and get knitting the tiny hats for the world's best-dressed smoothies to sport. 

For each hat-wearing smoothie sold across the UK, 25p will go to Age UK, so the more hats you knit, the more people you'll be helping.

innocent have kindly given us one of their knitting patterns to publish on the Simply Knitting website, so make sure you come back next week to see it!

Just to check you're on the right track, your hat dimensions should be about 5-7cm along the bottom and at least 3cm high when laid out flat.

Your hats will need to be packaged up and sent along to The Big Knit, Fruit Towers, 1 The Goldhawk Estate, Brackenbury Road, London W6 0BA by 01 October 2012.
