Explore a knitted garden in Lincolnshire – until 27 Aug

We adore looking round gardens at this time of year, when so many interesting flowers are blooming. When those blooms are knitted, we’re even more entranced!

Over at Easton Walled Gardens in Lincolnshire you can currently experience the Nolitex ‘Out There’ textile exhibition, a spectacular series of creations inspired by the gardens’ long history, the gardens themselves, and the people who visit and work there.

Judith Burnett seed packetsAmong others, look out for Judith Burnett’s gigantic seed packets, and Liz Welch’s exotic ‘Digitalis Fanciformus’ flowers, with vibrant petals made from gloves!

We love the scale of the exhibition and the innovative ideas that have gone into it.

Don’t delay though – the exhibition is only on until Monday 27 August, and, like so many glorious bloom, will then go to seed!

Find out more.

And look out in future issues of Simply Knitting for a feature about how the nine members of Nolitex put this exhibition together.
