On the needles with Lauren O'Farrell

In issue 106 you'll find our interview with Deady Knitshade, Lauren O'Farrell. We didn't have room for all her answers in the magazine, so you can read the whole thing here...

When did you start knitting?

I started knitting in 2005. Not all that long ago compared to most people.

Who taught you to knit?

My friends taught me to knit at the first ever Stitch London meeting. There were only three of us. I picked up my needles to distract myself from the needles of the cancer treatment I was going through at the time.

What was the first item you knitted?

A very bad scarf. Shamefully there was eyelash yarn involved.

What is your advice to knitters who are just beginning?

If you make a mistake you can always put a button over it.
